THE FABULOUS UNDERBEATS

WELCOME!
This is the world's first and only webpage devoted to the Midwest's legendary
Underbeats.

And it is about time.

The Underbeats were the top Midwest band of the 60's. Started in 1962 by James Calvin Johnson. The second original member was Doni Larson.

James was in the band throughout except for a 2 year Army break when Bob Goffstein at first filled in for James and then Wally filled in for Bob when Bob went into the service.

Bob Goffstein is now in the Tornades. Check Bob's band out at Tornadoes

Look at the talent in that band: Enrico, Jim Johnson, Jim Walsh, Doni Larson, Wally Walstad & Tom Nystrom.
Diane was a big fan of this band and caught their shows numerous times. Try finding their 45's at a decent price!!! People in the know love their music.
