Many bands suffer on their second album
release. Not Gypsy, however. In fact, this album is in some ways stronger
than the first. One of their best songs ever, Blind Man, is on here.
Rico's singing and songwriting really shines on this album.
Around You
A stunning song, just perfect for the radio. Alright garage bands:
Just try to imitate this one!
As Far As You Can See (As Much As You Can Feel)
Very popular with many Gypsy fans. Walsh is playing his ass off. The
intro is as hard as Gypsy ever rocked, then it goes into what sounds
like a waltz beat with a catchy keyboard part. This is what was meant
by progressive rock back then. Many Gypsy songs had interesting changes
in the music style, even within the space of one song.
Here (In The Garden) Part I
A pretty and sad song. Crying from cradle to grave indeed.
Blind Man
My vote as their best single effort. If someone can find better singing
than this, please let me know.
